The problem
Intervention: A Nutrition Diary in Overcoming Stunting (DIGIDAU): mothers recorded 24-hour food recalls daily for 5 weeks, with counselling, training and weight monitoring
Who it was tested with: 20 toddlers (and their mothers) in Pesanggrahan District who met the research criteria.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A quantitative experimental research using a pre-experimental design study. One Group Pretest Posttest Design was used." This is a single group measured before and after with no comparison group, so it is PRE_POST.
Very small sample, no control group, only 5 weeks of follow-up, and no separation of the diary's effect from the counselling and training. Growth over 5 weeks may reflect normal child growth.
