The problem
Intervention: Multiple bullying prevention interventions including music-based, sports-based, martial arts, digital health, anti-aggression programs, parent-related, and anti-bullying interventions delivered through family, school, community, healthcare, or collaborative settings
Who it was tested with: Children and adolescents.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Three reviewers independently selected meta-analysis of bullying prevention intervention that reported any type of prevention intervention and assessed outcomes in children and adolescents. Following PRISMA guidelines, three reviewers independently extracted data and evaluated study quality using AMSTAR-2." The design represents a high-level synthesis of experimental evidence from multiple meta-analyses, providing comparative effectiveness data across multiple intervention types.
The umbrella review is limited to published meta-analyses and cannot assess publication bias or heterogeneity within individual meta-analyses in detail. Substantial variation in effectiveness across interventions suggests context-dependent factors not fully explored.
