The problem
Intervention: Availability and utilization of learning resources in nursery school classrooms
Who it was tested with: Pre-school children in selected nursery schools in Odeda Local Government Area, Ogun State, Nigeria (220 teachers sampled).
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Descriptive research design was utilized. Data were collected using questionnaire." The study measured associations between resource availability, utilization, and child outcomes through correlational analysis, representing a descriptive study design without experimental manipulation or a comparison group.
Study relied on teacher self-reports without direct observation or measurement of child outcomes; cross-sectional design cannot establish causation; limited to one local government area in one state of Nigeria; no control group or comparison condition.
