Summary
Written by AI, not yet AICS's view · claude-haiku-4-5-20251001This research describes sexual violence against children in Indonesia using data from the national protection information system. The study proposes SIPELAS, a program that integrates Pancasila values into sexual education to prevent sexual violence. The program includes teacher training, parent training, and age-appropriate material delivery to students using various media. The researchers argue that Pancasila's core principles can serve as a moral foundation to help children respect themselves and others.
Key points
- SIPELAS uses Pancasila principles (divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, social justice) as the foundation for sexual violence prevention education
- The program is implemented in three stages: teacher training, parent training, and student material delivery
- Learning materials are adapted to different educational levels, from animation for kindergarten to webinars for senior high school
- The study used SIMFONI-PPA data system to document real-time cases of violence against women and children in Indonesia
- Pancasila values are positioned as a strategic moral foundation for shaping children's character and promoting respect for human dignity
Limitations
This is a descriptive study without a comparison group or measurement of outcomes, so it cannot establish whether SIPELAS actually reduces sexual violence or changes children's behaviour. The document describes the program design and rationale but does not provide evidence of effectiveness.
Abstract
This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to comprehensively and thoroughly describe the phenomenon of sexual violence against children. This research employed digital observation through SIMFONI-PPA (Online Information System for Women and Child Protection) data, which presents real-time information regarding cases of violence against women and children in Indonesia, both verified and unverified cases. Data analysis was conducted by positioning the researcher as the main instrument interpreting events and social situations related to the phenomenon of sexual violence against children. The research findings indicate that the SIPELAS Program (Sila Pendidikan Pelecehan Seksual/Pancasila Principles Sexual Harassment Education) can serve as a strategic solution for preventing sexual violence through the integration of Pancasila values in sexual education. This program is implemented through three systematic stages: teacher training for sexual education, parent training, and material delivery to students with learning media adapted to educational levels ranging from animation for kindergarten level to discussions and webinars for senior high school level. Each principle in Pancasila has relevance in preventing sexual violence, where the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice can serve as moral foundations in shaping children's character to respect themselves, others, and uphold human dignity.
